Did you have a happy Knitting Week?

Well, I spent at least a little part of every day of it working on some knitting, so I suppose the answer (for me at least) would have to be a resouding yes.

What did I work on? Several things, actually:

1. A custom scarf design featuring "pinky" the ghostie, as seen in the pac-man computer game (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/wildcatdesigns/2952260998/ )

2. My wonderfully multicoloured version of Dauphine from Rowan Magazine (see http://www.ravelry.com/projects/catameringue/dauphine or my previous post about it)

3. A somewhat experimental piece of knitting, which was supposed to be a flower, but as I didn't know how many stitches equalled how many petals until I'd actually knitted it, I ended up with something less flower-like and more abstract. It's a little like a Celtic knot design, with 3 sides so looks kind of triangular (it's also on my flickr photostream if you're nosy).

4. Sewed up one half of a pair of funky little shoes - a work in progress, but nearly finished project for my newer etsy shop http://wildkittens.etsy.com .

5. Finally got around to winding one of the hanks of Ultramerino4 yarn by http://www.artyarns.com into a ready-to-knit ball which is sooo pretty. I just love the colourway - it's got all my favourite colours in it, from a kind of turquoise-green right through to purple.

6. I also made lots of skinny stripy scarves on my beloved knitmaster in various delicious colour combinations :)

Oh, and since it's still National Knitting Week (just), I thought I'd share this charity knitting campaign with you. Shelter, the Scottish charity who believe everyone has the right to a home (they deal with housing and homelessness issues) are looking for knitted donations! Mini scarves, to be precise. It's a little like the innocent idea, but slightly different. It sounds like fun anyway, and you can read about it here: http://scotland.shelter.org.uk/news/news/news_folder/2008/get_knitting_for_shelter!
